2006 champion

Post  HandBlocker on Wed Sep 03, 2008 6:34 am

Sorry, but it looks like I can't make it. So I'll be giving up my 2006 championship belt, I guess. Best of luck to the rest of you!

Is there a juniors division?

Post  Ian Ferguson on Wed Sep 03, 2008 7:56 pm

Sherrie and I will be bringing the boys.

edit: Yes, I did wait to make sure Andrew wouldn't be there to handblock me before I rsvp'd.

Colsen (and the future)

Post  Ian Ferguson on Fri Sep 05, 2008 10:57 am

the wonderful thing about Colsens is he's the only one. But it also means folks will misspell it. Better than mispronounce, though. Although, perhaps, in the future, speaking will be like handwriting is today, a rarely used lost art.

Shucks

Post  coreynunlist on Fri Sep 05, 2008 2:42 pm

Whoops, neither of my guesses was right. But if there's only one of him, why did you refer to the plural (Colsens)?

Also, I don't appreciate the veiled criticism of both my speech and my handwriting, which are both admittedly fairly mumbly. I try to make up for it by talking more often and in a higher volume (especially at pickup), but there's only so much I can do.

Shannon's out of town so it's hard to speak for her, but I'm pretty sure we'll both be there.

Pickleball might flare up my "tennis" elbow, but I'll be there to give it a shot!
